So you’ve got some spare time, a day off or it’s the holidays,….what to do…
How about something active, something out in the fresh air, something to give you a buzz and something memorable….then trekking or riding is for you.
Any visitor need not be experienced to go trekking, both beginner and competent riders are given the utmost help and attention. If you know little of horses at the outset it is inevitable you will know a great deal more at the end of your visit
We have different routes, horses, and lengths of ride, just give us a ring and we can recommend what is suitable. It’s a brilliant gift for a friend, or a birthday treat. It’s a great way to socialize with mates from work, or have fun with the family.
The treks will take you over heather covered mountain tops, through forests, past waterfalls, visiting reservoirs and many other natural beauty spots. There is an abundance of beautiful scenery and wildlife, including around ninety different species of birds, and wild mountain ponies.
From the top of the beautiful Black Mountains it is possible to view no less than seven counties, magnificent views of the Wye Valley, Brecon Beacons, Holy Mountains, Herefordshire Plain, Golden Valley and the Vale of Ewyas. On a clear day you can see as far as the Bristol Channel which is about 60 miles away.
There are also many other outdoor activities in the locality such as canoeing, climbing, golfing etc,
We would be pleased to provide local information, or a package of an activity with camping, glamping or B&B.
The Grange is ideal as a retreat into the countryside for a spot of bird watching or just a peaceful sit down with a book and the wildlife for company!!
